TPC might have it's own camera.

Dear compact users,

Have you ever wanted to use DLSR to cover events  but never have the tools to do so?

Don't worry , We might have one camera soon, complete with flashgun ^^

But on the condition that the club remain active ..... very active.
1) attend the classes (physically, morale support doesn't help )
2) participate in trips ( should be in Ampang lookout point if i can get subsidy)
3) reply my mails / sms
I cant think of others for now,

Again , I need you all to help me before I can do more,

I really want to make this club to be the best club, but I only could do it if all of you is passionate.

BOD Lunch meeting details,

Dear BOD's ,
The detail for lunch meeting is as follows :

Time : 12 to 1
Location : Padi Garden at B4 , PJ CAMPUS,  (if you were in lakeside and still wanted to be BOD's , sms me)
Purpose of meeting : I leveraging the burden of TPC to all of you. So be mentally prepared for my assignments.

Whoever felt he/she is capable and wanted to contribute to TPC, Please come,
I would like to work with people that are passionate and people who are willing to take initiatives.


NOTE: If you wanted to be an event photographer, I advised you not to be a BOD, as you will be bombarded with a lot of events in the near future, and make sure you have SLR at hand.
I already get offered by organization other than Taylor to cover events, those are the demanding clients,

Compact users, dont worry , there will be classes , and outdoor trips (most likely for landscape) for you guys,
I still working on it. Since TPC got sufficient BOD to make the club running.

Lunch meeting for BOD




As title says , I would like to meet you all , 
And I understand that everyone of you is busy , 
But I hope to gather all of you for a small talk,
This week is the time we organize ourself and leverage responsibility already,  

For those who see this post and wanted to be BOD , please do so, 
The thing I expect the most from my BOD is the ability to take initiatives,

The location will be at PJ campus , B4 Ground Floor,  PADI GARDEN 

NOTE : BOD meeting will be same place same location from this week onwards until we move to Lakeside.

First of all, the two main thing I put into consideration when I selecting BOD is 
1) the ability to take initiative, (most important)
2) synchronize time slot with me, Thursday and Friday after 12 ( I need to have my BOD members have same free time with me as this will allow things to run smoothly. I am really sorry for this, but it is for the sake of club efficiency. I hope you can understand ) 


and I avoiding to take final sem / final sem for BOD as I understand all of you are busy. 


About the difficulties for Lakeside to come to PJ campus, I hope you understand for now. However I got rumours that We are moving in APRIL, I hope that I could get to use the LT there for our classes


PS : Class will commence NEXT WEEK. , which is anytime between 22 to 26 march. location and time not confirmed.

Open day Event

I update the post as soon I got the information.  Just when I thought I can get a moment of serenity in my assignments.


Ok, Taylors is going to have open day event , the details is as follows :

Date : 20 AND 21 March
Time : Full day , I haven't confirm the details, but be prepared for 8 am to 6 pm.
Venue : TLC
Payment : RM 80 in total. Which means RM 40 per day. ( I promised I wont make you guys to be  free labour)
Attire : Please wear Taylor Tshirt if you were to go that event.

Jobs : most likely you will taking candid / family shots.

Taylors require 4 photographers.

Fortunate for you, BRENDAN LEE  has confirmed with me that he will be covering that events.
And I need 1 more slot for photographer owning a DLSR. ( if you do not have experience, I will teach you some basic concepts and do and donts for covering events, but I do hope you have the basics,)
So there are 2 empty slots for beginners to learn from the pros. So please grab this opportunity if you interested in venturing into event  photography.

Note : Make sure you have at least a compact (with spare batteries and spare memory card), but don't worry about it as you go to the event to learn. The DLSR-nians is the one who does the job for your part.

Hello to every new and old, young and old , TPC members. This is a thank you post for everyone who appeared in the meeting today. I really really appreciate your presence. Again, sorry if I can't remember your name, but by now I should be able to recognize you if I see you on the street.

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for showing up in this Friday meeting,
The numbers appeared more than I expected, It is a good start for TPC too.

And thanks again for those who come to Friday meeting even though they went to Wednesday session. I hope the pictures in the slides entertains you.

For the newcomers , thank you for coming too, I hope that I did talk to everyone of you and brief a little bit about club history and some tips on taking photos. If I din't , please forgive my lack of attention. I promise I will attempt to do some "ber-bonding" with you. ^^

And lastly , to all the girls, I would like to share some little flaw of mine. You may have the impression that I'm an  outgoing/extrovert  guy. However, there is an exception situation where I will lost all my ability to think/speak/act properly. That situation when I have 1 on 1 conversation with girls.
Yup, so if you were in 1 on 1 , face to face situation with me, please don't think that I don't want to talk to you or being uneasy , because I am too shy to actually talk to you.

1st meeting, Still Unofficial BUT please come,

This is one the best news we got this week, 
at last we got ourself a location for meeting, 

I am really sorry that I break my promise that I would made an announcement during the weekend, 
this is due to some unforeseen circumstances , and I am sorry to make an announcement so last minute,
I already trying my best to make a meeting possible,

The purpose of this meeting is discuss the future direction of the club, TPC will explain in the detail during the meeting, 
and look for new BOD (board of directors),


Well, here are the details for the meeting, 

Location : LCS   ,  B1 - 05 - 09
Date : 10 March 2010    ---OR---  12 March 2010 ( choose one, we are going to discuss the same thing , but you can come for both meeting, ) 

Time : 12:15pm to 1:15pm, but we have the location until 2pm, so anyone would like to stay to socialize  or apply to be a BOD is an good option, 
ADMISSION IS FREE, anyone who is interested just come, 
Don't worry about members fees and the club t-shirt, 
We wont request you to pay during this meeting,

Sony World Photography Awards Global Tour,


I got this news while reading newspaper, 
There is an ongoing exhibition happening in Suria KLCC, this exhibition will display works of finalist/winner of last year competition.


This competition is held annually since 2007, however this is the first it held an exhibition at KLCC,
It showcases photos at its best, from amatuers to professionals, including a wide range of genres like architecture, advertising, sports and many more.
The details is as follows,



Sony World Photography Award Global Tour,
Location : Gallery Petronas, Kuala Lumpur
Date : 4 Feb to 28 March, 2010,
Opening Hours : 10 am - 8pm (closed on Monday)

And to make things better, there will be a series a workshop (which probably we miss most of valueble lesson it by now) on basic techniques, architecture and heritage , street and travel, automotive photograph and so on.....

Unofficial announcement for Unofficial meeting,

There will one unofficial meeting open to ANYONE next week, member and non member are welcomed to join in.






These are the probable time for this meeting, 


1. WED 12:30-1:30pm  
2. Fri , 12:30 to 1:30 pm , 


and most likely it will be held at LT1 or auditorium, 


Admission is free, so dont worry about paying the money.
It is optional to bring camera , so it is ok to come without any camera,
To make you feel better, 
the current President, has no camera in his possession too, due to a series of unfortunate events.
So you can confirm that President  someone in the meeting without a camera


All this clubs wants, is people who are interested / passionate in photography and willing to take risk initiatives to go to explore the hidden meaning of photography. 




However, do check up the blog at weekends for exact time and location. 


PS for SLR owners, it is recommended to bring your camera loaded with your own pictures, 
You do want to see other people's photos right? Or maybe to share your view in photography ?

For those who graduated in Taylor and yet still receive mail from TPC,
kindly send a mail to notify me as I would assume you are still member and "spam" mail to you.
This is prevent annoyance on your side.
